Last night I was going to play Fable but the PGR2 disc jumped into the Xbox instead. I converted my last Bronze medal to Silver, so now I have:
| Silver | Gold | Platinum | ||
| Kudos World Series | 133 | 31 | 8 | |
| Arcade Racing | 50 | 7 | 3 | |
| Street Race | (20) | (0) | (0) | |
| Timed Run | (20) | (0) | (0) | |
| Cone Challenge | (10) | (7) | (3) | |
| Overall | 79% | 16% | 5% | |
I’m really into the cone challenges at the moment which increasingly remind me of Scramble[1] (or Acornsoft’s Rocket Raid if like me you played on a BBC) - in both scramble and the cone challenges you find yourself memorising a route and then gradually tweaking it until you attain perfection. It could almost be a form of meditation if it wasn’t for the loud music I have playing at the same time.
[1] Without the shooting, that would be another game entirely.
Finally got rid of my last bronze medals in the Kudos World Series, unfortunately I only have about 15 gold and platinum medals. I’d better make a start on upgrading all those silvers.
My main gaming obsession at the moment is Project Gotham Racing 2. Not that I’m brilliant at it, just okay (600,000 Kudos as of yesterday - in Kudos World Series I have 25 bronze medals, 100+ silver, some gold and a handful of platinum), but it is fun which sure beats some of the other games I’ve played recently. I bought the X-Box for Halo and KotOR and both of them are just sitting there - somehow they just don’t seem like fun to me.
