Sophie Little was Hannah Sophia Little

Wednesday, July 19th, 2006

I crosschecked the date of Horace Barnard Coy’s marriage with those of any Littles on FreeBMD and it turns out Sophie Little was really Hannah Sophia Little and I now by way of the  1881 and 1901 censuses know about some of her family - it seems there are a lot of fishermen in my roots and some bizarre triangle consisting of Grimsby (New Clee/Clee with Weelsby), Sheringham and Withernsea.

I’m playing about with GEDXML at the moment, not that I really want to write a genealogy program, more because I want to use some XML, Java 5 (or 1.5 as I think about it) and Swing. I don’t use Swing at work and it will be a while before we move to Java 5 so I need the practice.
